What is SEO?

Most newbies ask this basic question – what is seo? Put in simple words, SEO (search engine optimization, also referred to as SEM or search engine marketing) is the process of optimizing your website for getting the top rank in search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo!

There are a lot of aspects to be considered in the process SEO, and there’s a huge scope for adopting short-cuts too, which are termed as black-hat SEO methodologies.
seo basics No points for guessing that usage of Black-Hat SEO can produce quick results, and help you get the top spot in search rankings within a fairly short span of time, but once the search engines detect the bad ethics adopted by SEO company/professional, who’s optimizing that website, it may be completely removed from the search results, and the index of major search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo!

This simply means that Black-Hat SEO never helps in long run, and rather puts your website at a great risk of getting banned in all major search engines – now do you think is it worth risking? (ouch!)

Furthermore, when you use the white hat SEO ethics, and build credibility in the eyes of search engines, you not only get lot of traffic, but the results do stay for a long time!

Therefore, make sure that your search engine optimization company does NOT use Black-Hat SEO tactics to get the job done for you. We at Webfosys Networks Pvt Ltd only use the ethical white hat SEO tactics that are tested and trusted by all the major search engines, and we’ve achieved the Page1 rankings in Google and Bing for hundreds of thousands of keywords, and even the top spot for plenty of them.
